Averill Park Central School District residents have approved a $53,906,501 budget for the 2015-16 school year by a vote of 1129 (yes) to 333 (no). The plan increases spending for the first time in six years by $1,039,316, or 1.97 percent, over the current year. The estimated tax levy increase is 2.25 percent, which is within the District’s allowable tax levy limit under the state’s tax levy cap legislation. 

Voters also approved a $604,324 bus proposition to purchase 8 new buses by a vote of 1031 (yes) to 385 (no).

Residents also elected two members to the Board of Education:
• Chris Foster (1137 votes)
• Jessica Zweig (1132 votes)
