In an effort to have a constructive dialogue about schools and the issues they face, Superintendent Jim Hoffman joined other area superintendents on Jan. 22 for a meeting with state legislators. The event, organized by Questar III, addressed issues such as cuts to state school aid and providing financial certainty to districts by making the property tax cap truly a 2% cap. Educators and state legislators said they found the conversation productive and vowed to work together to solve issues facing schools.
